HOW DID YOU FIRST LEARN ABOUT TSH AND WHAT DREW YOU TO US?
I’ve been following The Sampson House since the very beginning! I was always drawn to their clean and beautiful design work, the fun clients they work with and the celebrated company culture!
WHAT ARE 3 WORDS TO DESCRIBE THE SAMPSON HOUSE?
Aesthetically Pleasing, Modern, Consistent
WHAT PROJECTS ARE YOU CURRENTLY WORKING ON? AND WHICH HAS BEEN YOUR FAVORITE SO FAR?
Daylight Wine and Spirits, Hungry for Truth, and Voyage Federal Credit Union. I recently got to join an ambassador shoot for Hungry for Truth, which was a great experience to see what all goes into those and to learn firsthand from a local farmer about the food we eat every day.
WHAT MOTIVATES YOU TO WAKE UP AND GO TO WORK?
Great co-workers and clients I enjoy working with. Coffee helps too 😉
WHAT DO YOU SPEND YOUR TIME DOING WHEN YOU’RE NOT AT WORK?
When I’m not working, I love spending time with my family and friends, playing with my son, Cutler, and my dog, Cash, spending time outside, and traveling to new destinations.
WHEN DID YOU DEVELOP AN INTEREST IN ART, DESIGN, AND MARKETING?
I like to think I’ve always had a creative side and a passion for marketing, but I was able to officially put that to use in college with my marketing minor and hone in on what specific aspects of marketing I enjoyed most. I love that it’s an ever-evolving field. Keeps me on my toes and always learning!
WHAT’S A CURRENT MARKETING TREND YOU SEE HAPPENING RIGHT NOW?
Brands working to be more sustainable, environmentally friendly, and socially responsible. Consumers are becoming more aware of companies that practice this and finding it harder to connect with and support brands that are irresponsible towards humankind or the environment.
WHO WOULD BE YOUR DREAM CLIENT TO WORK ON AND WHY?
Nike - not only am I a lifelong consumer of theirs, but it would be really cool to be able to work with some of the professional athletes they partner with.
BEST ADVICE YOU'VE EVER RECEIVED?
Control what you can control and don’t waste energy on things you cannot.
DESCRIBE YOURSELF IN 3 WORDS.
Adventurous, Personable, Detailed
WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE THING ABOUT YOUR POSITION?
The opportunity to express my creative freedoms, and knowing that every day is different in the variety of work I get to do. I’m also kind of obsessed with detail and organization, so what better way to put that to use than a Project Manager position?
WHAT’S YOUR ULTIMATE BUCKET-LIST TRAVEL DESTINATION?
Oh so many to choose from so I’ll give a top 5:
Machu Picchu & the Amazon Rainforest
Thailand and Vietnam
Amalfi Coast
Croatia
Cape Town Africa and a Serengeti Safari
IF YOU COULD MEET ANYONE, LIVING OR DEAD, WHO WOULD IT BE AND WHY?
Princess Diana - I am so intrigued by the Royal Family (thanks to The Crown) and have so many questions about what her life was like and about what actually happened that night in Paris.
FAVORITE RESTAURANT?
Locally in Sioux Falls I’d say The Attic (East side one!) or Looks Marketplace, but I think the best meal I’ve ever had was at Eddie V’s in San Diego.
3 INTERESTING THINGS ABOUT YOU:
I have auditioned (twice) to be on Survivor. Still waiting on that callback Jeff Probst…
I traveled in a motorhome around the entire island of Iceland!
I lived in Phoenix during the hottest summer recorded in Phoenix history! 🥵
WHAT ARE YOU CURRENTLY LISTENING TO ON YOUR PLAYLIST?
LANY - always.
GO-TO TV SHOW?
I think I’ve seen every episode of The Office no less than 87 times and counting... My other go-to’s are Survivor, Shark Tank, and (embarrassingly) all things Bachelor Franchise. I’m also always down to watch college or professional basketball and football.
If my son is in charge of the remote… Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.
HOW DO YOU DEFINE SUCCESS?
Being genuinely happy and unapologetically yourself.
WHAT DO YOU BRING TO THE TABLE HERE AT TSH?
Experience, an upbeat energy and a new realm of creative ideas.
